KEVIN MCKEOWN FROM STIRLING SENTENCED TO JAIL FOR MULTIPLE OFFENSES IN ALLOA AND SAUCHIE

A man from Stirling has been sentenced to prison after a series of criminal acts spanning nearly four years, highlighting a pattern of repeated offenses and breaches of court orders. Kevin McKeown, aged 33 and residing on Forth Street in Stirling, faced a lengthy legal process that culminated in his incarceration following a court hearing conducted via video link from prison at Alloa Sheriff Court.

Details of McKeown's criminal history reveal a troubling series of incidents beginning on June 22, 2017. On that day, at Hallpark in Sauchie, he engaged in disruptive behavior by shouting loudly, climbing over a security fence, and persistently knocking on the window of a flat occupied by his former partner. His actions escalated to an uninvited entry into the property, causing distress and concern for those involved.

Less than a month later, on July 5, 2017, McKeown committed theft at Aldi on Whins Road in Alloa, stealing food items. His criminal activity continued into August when, on the 21st, he was caught stealing from Poundland on Mill Street in Alloa. These thefts demonstrated a pattern of acquisitive behavior and disregard for property rights.

Further incidents occurred on September 7, 2017, at Beechwood in Sauchie, where McKeown assaulted his partner by grabbing her hair, an act of domestic violence that added to his criminal record. The violence and aggressive behavior persisted, and on March 20, 2019, at Argyll Street in Alloa, he was involved in a confrontation with police officers. During this incident, he shouted and swore at the officers and engaged in a violent struggle, resisting arrest and complicating the situation further.

His criminal activities extended into July 2019, when on the 21st, he was found in possession of diamorphine at Craigview in Alloa. This possession of illegal drugs underscored ongoing issues with substance abuse and illegal activity.

Throughout these years, McKeown was given multiple opportunities for community-based sentences, but he repeatedly breached the conditions, demonstrating a pattern of non-compliance and continued criminal behavior. The court, after considering all the offenses and his history, sentenced him to a total of 10 months and 48 days in prison. Sheriff Alison Michie presided over the case and delivered the sentence, emphasizing the seriousness of his repeated violations and the need for incarceration to protect the community.
