KEVIN CRUMP FROM HOUGHTON REGIS CAUGHT WITH CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN ST ALBANS
Kevin Crump, a man residing in Houghton Regis, has been linked to a serious criminal offense involving the possession of a vast collection of illegal material.Crump, who previously worked as an IT technician at Loreto College in St Albans, admitted to possessing more than 45,000 images and videos depicting child pornography.
His confession was made during an appearance on Channel 4's investigative program, '24 Hours in Police Custody.' During the broadcast, Crump was candid about his actions, describing his behavior in blunt terms.
He explained that he had downloaded the illicit material and compared the compulsion to that of a drug addiction, highlighting the severity of his psychological state and the difficulty in resisting such impulses.
Following his admission, Crump was sentenced to a 16-month prison term, which was suspended for two years.
This means he will not serve time immediately but will be under supervision and must adhere to certain conditions during this period.
Additionally, he is now required to register as a sex offender for life, a measure designed to monitor and prevent any potential reoffending.
Crump's background includes a lengthy service in the army, where he served for 22 years.
Despite the gravity of his criminal actions, he maintains that he has never physically harmed or touched a child, emphasizing that his offense was related solely to the possession of illegal images and videos.
