KEVIN BOOTH'S HORRIFIC CRIMES IN CAITHNESS AND BEYOND REVEALED

Kevin Booth, a 64-year-old man with a disturbing history, has been linked to a series of heinous crimes committed at his remote residence in Caithness.

His property, Lochdhu Lodge in Altnabreac, is situated at the end of a secluded 14-mile private road, making it an ideal location for clandestine activities.

Court proceedings uncovered chilling details about Booth’s use of an Egyptian-themed underground lair within his lodge, which he exploited to carry out acts of severe abuse against women.

Investigators revealed that Booth had recruited women from both the United Kingdom and abroad, including countries such as South Africa, Dubai, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines.

These victims were subjected to brutal punishment beatings, often inflicted with whips, causing them intense pain and emotional distress.

The court heard evidence of Booth’s disturbing practice of filming these assaults, which could last up to 18 minutes.

These videos depicted victims restrained and beaten in a manner that Sheriff Neil Wilson described as “vicious,” with one particularly harrowing scene showing a young Black woman being forcibly held and assaulted in a tomb-like chamber within Lochdhu Lodge.

Inside this underground chamber, accessible through a trapdoor, investigators found a macabre setup that included an empty coffin, Egyptian-style statues, and a metal bench.

Detective Sergeant Christopher Hughes testified that Booth traveled extensively to various countries, where he would isolate vulnerable women and subject them to his violent regime.

The court was shown footage of Booth’s brutal acts, which he justified as “punishment,” revealing a pattern of coercion and exploitation.

Further evidence uncovered by authorities included hundreds of videos depicting Booth’s assaults, illustrating a disturbing pattern of pleasure derived from inflicting pain and exerting control over his victims.

Threats and coercion were used to silence and manipulate women, some of whom were coerced into forced sex acts.

Despite a prior conviction in 2002 for indecent assault on his Brazilian au pair and allegations of child abuse from 1991 and 2002, Booth’s recent activities prompted police to seek a Trafficking and Exploitation Order.

Sheriff Neil Wilson approved this order, which prohibits Booth from traveling abroad for five years, requiring him to notify police before hiring women or visiting his property, and mandating the surrender of all passports.

The court described Booth’s conduct as involving human trafficking, exploitation, and coercion over many years.

The evidence presented included videos, messages, documents, and witness testimonies that painted a picture of a man who repeatedly targeted vulnerable women for abuse.

Sheriff Wilson emphasized that this was the first such order in Scottish history, highlighting the extreme cruelty and calculated nature of Booth’s actions.

The investigation also revealed disturbing videos stored at Lochdhu Lodge, which vividly depicted Booth’s violent and coercive behavior, underscoring the profound human suffering inflicted.

In conclusion, the court found Booth’s actions to be profoundly depraved, with the evidence demonstrating serious sexual and human trafficking crimes.

The case has shed light on a pattern of exploitation that spanned many years and involved significant cruelty, leaving a trail of trauma for the victims involved.

The authorities’ efforts to secure this groundbreaking order mark a significant step in addressing such egregious crimes within Scotland, and serve as a stark reminder of the depths of human depravity that can occur behind closed doors.
