NURSE'S NIGHTMARE: STALKER EX SENTENCED TO JAIL FOR CAMPAIGN OF HARASSMENT
A man named Kenneth Stewart, aged 42, has been convicted of stalking and harassment related to his campaign of abuse against Lauren Black, a 32-year-old nurse and mother of one.Lauren Black recounted how Stewart bombarded her with texts, telling lies that she was a drug addict, spreading false rumors, and cornering her family in public locations such as Tesco.
Stewart was previously ordered by the court to stay away from Lauren in November due to his aggressive behavior but continued to harass her.
He sent her family disturbing messages, including a photo with a noose around his neck and threats to make false claims about her to the police.
Stewart also tracked her using phone and car trackers, which escalated her fear and led her to flee to a refuge.
The harassment included tailing her, stalking her in various locations, and falsely accusing her of crimes.
Despite being handed a 13-month jail sentence for his actions, he is due to be released in July due to time already served.
His aggressive behavior has caused Lauren significant fear, with her feeling that her life has been severely impacted by his lies and threats.
Stewart had previously threatened to make false claims to police and attempted to blackmail Lauren.
After his arrest in August, he pleaded guilty to three counts of stalking and misusing communications, admitting to breaching his non-harassment order.
This resulted in a sentence of 13 months in jail, which he is due to serve until July.
