EAST DURHAM MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCE AND SOPO BREACH
An East Durham man has been jailed after admitting to breaching a sexual offences order and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.Kenneth Horsley appeared at Durham Crown Court on 8th September 2025, where he pleaded guilty to the offences.
Court documents confirm Horsley was sentenced to a total of 16 months’ imprisonment.
Additional penalties included: Forfeiture of seized electronic devices Payment of £187 in court costs The conviction included breach of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
Any time spent in custody before sentencing will count toward the total term of imprisonment.
The case is now officially concluded, though Horsley retains the right to appeal the sentence through the Court of Appeal in London.
