Dundee woman pleads guilty to knifing her partner in domestic row

DUNDEE WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY TO KNIFING HER PARTNER IN DOMESTIC ROW

A female offender named Kelsie Harper was involved in an assault on her partner on June 13, 2020, on Dundee’s Strathmartine Road.

According to court reports, Harper was in bed with her partner at around 6 am when he asked her to turn down the television volume.

This led to an argument which quickly intensified.

The man then decided to leave the flat after telling her he had had enough.

During the confrontation, Harper, who was 29 years old at the time, picked up a knife and claimed she would harm herself.

Witnesses, including Harper’s mother who was present during the incident, observed her attack her partner.

Her mother shouted, 'you've stabbed him you idiot,' as Harper stabbed her partner's back, piercing through the rucksack he was wearing.

The man sustained a small wound less than half a centimeter in length, which was treated with stitches and was unlikely to leave a scar.

Harper admitted to assaulting her partner with a knife.

She pled guilty to striking her partner on the body with a knife, and her sentence was deferred until May to allow for reports to be prepared.

The sheriff commented that the injury did not require serious medical intervention, and Harper’s bail order was continued.
