BRISTOL MAN JAILED FOR RAPE OF TEENAGE GIRL
Kaydon Hall, aged 20, has received a prison sentence of seven years and two months after admitting to charges of rape and engaging in sexual activities with a minor.
The offences occurred in Bristol while Hall was an adult.
The court was informed that his actions caused significant and enduring harm to the victims' mental health and daily lives.
During the sentencing hearing at Bristol Crown Court on 22 March, Her Honour Judge Moira Macmillan highlighted the serious consequences of Hall’s crimes, noting their substantial effect on the victims.
One victim, who was raped, shared her ongoing distress, stating, 'I know he is in prison but if I see anyone who looks like him I freak out and have to stop and tell myself it couldn’t be him.' Moreover, Hall was issued an indefinite sexual harm prevention order, a restraining order, and will be on the sex offenders register for life.
A police spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police commended the victims' bravery in coming forward, emphasizing that their support was crucial in securing Hall’s conviction and calling his crimes 'sickening.'
