WALLINGFORD - MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO SEXUALLY ASSAULTING GIRL
An individual from Oxfordshire has admitted to sexually assaulting a girl who was 15 years old.Karl Miles, residing at Ipsden Court in Cholsey, appeared before Oxford Crown Court on June 22.
Originally, he was scheduled for a trial; however, prior to its commencement, he entered a guilty plea to three charges.
These included two counts of engaging in sexual activity with a minor and one charge related to sexual communication with a minor.
Evidence presented indicated that these incidents occurred in Wallingford between June 2021 and April 2023, involving a victim aged between 14 and 15 during the offences.
The judge, Hassan Khan, ordered a pre-sentence report to assess the potential for dangerousness.
Although there was a request for Miles to be granted bail, the judge revoked it and remanded him into custody.
The judge commented that Miles could face a substantial prison sentence, with sentencing set for July 23.
