WANTAGE: MAN JAILED FOR STALKING WOMAN IN DISTURBING CAMPAIGN
On Friday, July 25, at Oxford Crown Court, Kane Swatton of Evenlode Drive, Didcot, was given a sentence after being convicted of stalking a woman in Wantage.
The incident involved a series of unwanted behaviors between November 10 and December 13 of the previous year, including sending unsolicited messages, visiting her home uninvited, and gifting her with unwanted items.
The court heard that Swatton’s actions caused the woman immense alarm and distress, impacting her daily routines.
He was subsequently sentenced to 12 months in jail, received a seven-year restraining order, and was instructed to pay a victim surcharge of £187 once he is released from custody.
