JUSTIN TOWNER CAUGHT IN SWANSCOMBE BREAKING SEX OFFENDER PREVENTION ORDER
Justin Towner, a 27-year-old registered sex offender from Swanscombe, has been sentenced to prison after violating a court-mandated prevention order.The breach occurred when Towner attempted to establish contact with a 14-year-old girl through Facebook, despite explicit restrictions prohibiting such interactions.
Court proceedings revealed that Towner persistently reached out to the young girl on social media platforms, disregarding the court’s directives.
He employed a false name to conceal his identity during these communications, demonstrating a clear intent to evade detection and continue his contact with minors.
Justin Towner’s criminal history is extensive, including previous convictions for sexual offences involving minors.
His criminal record includes serving time in prison for an attack on a girl shortly after his release in June 2011.
The court heard that his past actions and repeated attempts to contact the girl raised serious concerns about his ongoing risk to the public.
At Maidstone Crown Court, Judge Carroll described Towner as “a sexual predator,” emphasizing the severity of his violations.
The judge sentenced him to an additional 20 months in prison for breaching the court orders.
Furthermore, Towner was subjected to a 16-month detention period, a 15-year sexual harm prevention order, and a requirement to remain on the sex offender register for ten years.
