JUSTIN DAINTY: MAN JAILED FOR ASSAULT ON BABY
A man was sentenced to four years in prison after admitting to assaulting a baby.Nottinghamshire Police reported that 25-year-old Justin Dainty was responsible for the child's injuries, which occurred in November 2019, when he seized the child’s face and shook the baby by the legs.
The assault led to serious head injuries and internal trauma.
During court hearings, Dainty, previously known as Connor Fraser, denied causing the injuries, claiming they were inflicted by another child.
Nevertheless, evidence demonstrated that the injuries resulted from a deliberate attack by an adult.
After nearly three years of denying involvement, Dainty changed his plea to guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on September 12.
The police described the incident as a horrific act of violence against a helpless infant and noted that the child has recovered well since the attack.
