MAN JAILED FOR EIGHT YEARS FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF GIRL
A man convicted of sexual abuse against a young girl in Southampton has received an eight-year prison sentence.
Juan Francisco De La Cruz, aged 59, assaulted a girl under 13 years old on several occasions at a residence in Southampton during 2022.
Following a trial at Winchester Crown Court, De La Cruz, who resides at Robert Keen Close in Southwark, London, was found guilty of two counts of assaulting a girl by touching and one count of sexual penetration.
He appeared before the court last Thursday (February 5) and was subsequently sentenced to prison for eight years.
In addition to his jail term, he will be subject to an ongoing restraining order, which is indefinite, along with a sexual harm prevention order.
