In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Todmorden and the surrounding areas, Joshua Krogulski, a 27-year-old man from Spruce Walk in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for his involvement in the sexual abuse of a young girl.

The incident dates back to 2018 when Krogulski, then 24 years old, engaged in inappropriate and illegal activities with a 13-year-old girl, actions that have now led to his conviction.

During the trial held at Bradford Crown Court, Krogulski faced three counts of sexual activity with a minor.

Despite his vehement denial of the charges, claiming he was unaware of the girl’s true age, the jury found him guilty on all counts.

The evidence presented in court, along with testimonies from the girl’s family, clearly established the nature of his misconduct.

A representative speaking on behalf of the girl’s family described a particularly unsettling scene during the trial, noting that Krogulski displayed a lack of remorse by laughing and falling asleep while proceedings were ongoing.

Following his conviction, Krogulski was sentenced on Friday to a total of nine years in prison.

Furthermore, he was subjected to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which aims to prevent any future harm and ensure public safety.
