NORTH NORFOLK MAN ADMITS TAKING NAKED PIC OF SLEEPING WOMAN
He admitted removing clothing to expose her without her knowledge or consent after she fell asleep while he was at her home in Aylsham.
Prosecutor Ellen Connelly told Norwich Magistrates’ Court the photograph had later been found on his phone after it was seized by police.
In an emotional statement read in court, the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said she had been left "feeling unsafe in the place I should feel most secure.” He admitted he used his phone to take a covert image of the woman’s breasts and revived a suspended 16-week sentence for voyeurism.
The court heard that he pleaded guilty to a voyeurism offence of observing a person doing a private act.
He was sentenced to 16 weeks suspended for 18 months, with an order to complete 25 rehabilitation days and 250 hours of unpaid work.
Magistrates rejected a proposed Sexual Harm Prevention Order banning him from being alone with any intoxicated woman, deeming it disproportionate.
Instead, he was made subject of a restraining order banning contact with the victim for two years.
Ralph Gillam, mitigating, said Singer had not shared the photograph with anyone else.
He stated that Singer regrets what he did and accepts it was wrong, taking advantage of the victim while she was sleeping, and understands the impact on her.
