JONATHAN PELLING SENTENCED TO 14 YEARS FOR ABUSE IN BRIGHTON, NEWHAVEN, AND LANCING

In a recent court ruling, Jonathan Pelling, aged 39 and residing on Glynde Road in Brighton, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term of 14 years for a series of serious offences committed against two young girls.

The crimes took place across multiple locations, including Brighton, Newhaven, and Lancing, highlighting a disturbing pattern of abuse involving a known offender.

Last week, Pelling appeared before Hove Crown Court where he was convicted of five separate offences related to the victims.

The court heard that Pelling had engaged in three separate incidents of sexual assault in Brighton, targeting a girl who was between the ages of eight and 11 at the time, during the period from 2012 to 2014.

These assaults were part of a broader pattern of predatory behaviour that caused significant harm to the young girl.

In addition to the assaults in Brighton, Pelling was also found guilty of child neglect in Newhaven, where he failed to provide proper care for a young girl.

The neglect occurred during the same timeframe, further illustrating the extent of his misconduct.

Furthermore, Pelling committed a sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl in Lancing in 2011, adding to the gravity of his criminal record.

The multiple offences against minors, all known to him, have resulted in a severe legal consequence.

As part of his sentence, Pelling will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions to protect the community from potential future harm.

The case underscores the importance of vigilance and the need for justice in cases involving vulnerable minors and known offenders.
