JON GORDON FROM WITHAM SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN CHELMSFORD

In a significant case that has shocked the local community of Witham, 43-year-old Jon Gordon has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of over 40 serious child sex offences. The conviction follows a detailed investigation by law enforcement authorities into his disturbing activities.

Gordon's arrest was carried out in December 2018 during a police raid on his residence located on Gershwin Boulevard in Witham. The police action was prompted by credible intelligence indicating that Gordon had been engaging in inappropriate communications with an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old child. This information led to a thorough investigation and subsequent arrest.

During the raid, officers seized a total of 33 items from Gordon’s home. A forensic examination of these items revealed a disturbing collection of digital material, including more than 1,200 indecent images and videos depicting child sexual abuse.
