In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Campbeltown, Argyll, Johnathan Forshaw, a 33-year-old postman, has been linked to a series of heinous crimes involving the abuse of very young children and the possession of a vast collection of indecent images. The events came to light after police conducted a raid on Forshaw's residence last November, uncovering a disturbing trove of over 21,000 indecent images of minors, which had been downloaded from various websites and exchanged via Skype over nearly a decade, from 2005 to 2014.During the investigation, authorities discovered that Forshaw had not only collected these illicit images but also recorded footage of himself abusing children. The crimes involved a young boy who was molested during the summer of 2009, and a young girl who was just over a month old when Forshaw first assaulted her. The abuse of the girl reportedly began when she was only five weeks old, highlighting the severity and depravity of his actions.
Forshaw was taken into custody and faced multiple charges, including sexual assault, lewd and libidinous behavior, and possession of indecent images of children. He pleaded guilty to a series of these charges, which also included voyeurism. Evidence presented in the High Court in Glasgow revealed that Forshaw had secretly recorded three women visiting his home, capturing them in the bathroom or while they were partially clothed without their knowledge. Additionally, he filmed another young girl without her consent, further demonstrating the extent of his criminal behavior.
