JOHN STURGEON'S HORRIFIC CRIMES IN GLASGOW, IRVINE, KILMARNOCK, AND KILWINNING REVEALED

A man identified as John Sturgeon has been sentenced to eight years in prison after a series of heinous crimes involving physical and sexual abuse against two women. The disturbing case unfolded across several locations in Scotland, including Glasgow, Irvine, Kilmarnock, Kilwinning, and even a holiday lodge near Dundee. The severity and brutality of his actions have shocked the local communities and brought to light a pattern of sustained abuse over multiple years.

Sturgeon, aged 41, targeted his victims with relentless cruelty, subjecting them to repeated sexual assaults, including rape. The court heard that he not only inflicted physical harm but also engaged in psychological torment, calling them vile names, controlling their movements, and invading their privacy by interrogating their phones. One of the victims was reportedly treated in a manner likened to a “dog or slave,” with Sturgeon snapping his fingers to command her to attend to him immediately, illustrating the extent of his dominance and control.

During the trial at the High Court in Glasgow, Sturgeon denied all allegations, asserting that the victims were describing someone he was not. His defense attempted to cast doubt on the accusations, but the jury was convinced of his guilt after hearing detailed evidence. On the day he was scheduled to marry, Sturgeon took the stand to defend himself, claiming that the women’s descriptions were false. Despite his protests, the jury found him guilty of ten charges, including two counts of rape, sexual assault, and abusive conduct towards both women. Currently residing in Rosyth, Fife, Sturgeon was remanded in custody as sentencing was postponed until the following month.

Sturgeon’s background includes senior roles within the hospitality industry, but his personal life took a dark turn when he reconnected with the first victim via Instagram. Once in contact, he began tormenting her through constant criticism of her appearance, relentless phone calls, texts, and emails, and restricting her interactions with family and friends. Evidence presented in court included a video clip where Sturgeon made offensive remarks to the woman, further illustrating his abusive behavior. He also physically assaulted her by punching her and throwing a mobile phone at her, causing injury.

The second woman also endured similar suffering at his hands. Prosecutors revealed that Sturgeon coerced her into sending nude photographs and recording an intimate video. He further threatened to falsely accuse her to police, adding to the psychological pressure she faced. During the trial, when questioned by Mr. Allan about the truthfulness of his statements, Sturgeon insisted he was not lying, claiming that the women’s accounts were false and that they were trying to portray him as someone he is not.
