JOHN LOGAN
The messages were sent from his former residence on Braeside Road in Ayr, aiming to seek sexual satisfaction or to cause humiliation, distress, or alarm to the victim.
During a hearing last week, the procurator fiscal depute stated that the initial message was sent at 10.55pm on March 14.
Although the woman responded, expressing her desire to end contact, the messages persisted, including one where Logan referred to himself as ‘daddy’.
The depute added that the victim continued to request he stop messaging her, and at 1.30am, she blocked him.
Officers later observed the conversation after she provided screenshots of the messages to police.
On April 20, police attended Logan’s address, took him to Kilmarnock police station, and conducted an interview under caution.
Sheriff Siobhan Connelly postponed sentencing to allow for criminal justice social work reports and a risk assessment.
She warned Logan that he must fully cooperate and remain on bail in the meantime, emphasizing that he is not to contact or approach the complainant in any way.
