2014: SON JAILED FOR HARASSING HIS FATHER
A son has been sentenced to prison for repeatedly bothering his father despite being barred from doing so by a court-imposed restraining order.John Jones, aged 31 and residing on Bromwich Street in The Haulgh, pleaded guilty to harassment after visiting his father’s residence in Blackrod during the period from March 31 to April 1.
At the time of the offence, Jones was serving a four-month jail sentence, suspended for nine months, due to previous convictions related to drug possession and three separate harassment charges.
Bolton magistrates ordered Jones to adhere to the restraining order, which remains in effect until April 2019, and additionally sentenced him to an imprisonment of seven months.
