JOHN JEFFS FROM MIDDLETON CHENEY CAUGHT IN SHOCKING ACT WITH HENRY HOOVER
In a disturbing incident that has shocked the local community, John Jeffs, a 74-year-old resident of Middleton Cheney, was found guilty of engaging in a highly inappropriate and indecent act involving a household vacuum cleaner, specifically a Henry Hoover. The incident took place in September 2020 within the premises of The Baptist Centre, where Jeffs was serving as a pastoral manager for a Christian faith-based organization.According to court reports, Jeffs was discovered in a state of undress, wearing only a pair of women's stockings, while he was actively thrusting into the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner. The act was witnessed by a churchgoer attending a talk at the church, who was reportedly shocked and appalled by what they saw. The witness recounted passing by Jeffs' office and noticing him standing between two dark chairs, almost entirely naked except for the stockings, with his groin pressed against the vacuum cleaner.
The witness further described how Jeffs continued to thrust into the Henry Hoover despite being seen, emphasizing the powerful suction of the device as he engaged in the act. The court heard that Jeffs was fully aware of being observed but chose to carry on with his actions. Prosecutor Ellie Hutchinson stated that Jeffs admitted during a police interview that he had been touching himself in the church but claimed he did not realize he would be seen by others.
Following the incident, Jeffs was brought to trial at Northampton Magistrates’ Court, where he faced charges of indecent exposure. The court found him guilty after a thorough trial and subsequently sentenced him to an 18-month community order. As part of his sentence, Jeffs is required to complete 40 days of rehabilitation programs. Additionally, he has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register, a measure intended to monitor and prevent further offenses.
Jeffs was also ordered to pay a total of £845 in court costs and a further £200 in compensation to the victim. This case has garnered significant attention within the local community, raising concerns about safeguarding and the conduct of individuals in positions of trust within religious organizations.
