JOHN GORROD FROM LOCKS HEATH CAUGHT WITH CHILD PORNOGRAPHY PICTURES IN SORDID RAID

In April 2008, authorities conducted a thorough investigation at the residence of John Gorrod, a resident of Heath Road South in Locks Heath. During the operation, police officers seized and examined his personal laptop computer, uncovering disturbing evidence of child exploitation. The investigation revealed that Gorrod had stored explicit images depicting minors, which he had accessed through various pornographic websites.

Further scrutiny of his device uncovered that Gorrod had deliberately installed specialized software designed to delete or destroy any indecent images stored on his computer, indicating an attempt to conceal his activities. Despite these efforts, law enforcement officials managed to recover a total of 26 indecent pictures, which were linked to his browsing history and downloads from adult content sites.

John Gorrod, aged 60, was subsequently charged and pleaded guilty to 19 counts related to the possession of indecent images of children. His actions and the evidence collected during the investigation led to his registration on the sex offenders' register, marking a significant step in the ongoing effort to monitor and prevent such crimes within the community.
