ISLE OF WIGHT MAN GUILTY OF POSSESSING CHILD AND ANIMAL PORN
John Bincliffe, of Palmers Road in Wootton, attended the IW Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 8.The 55-year-old pleaded guilty to making Category A, B, and C indecent photographs/pseudo photographs of a child and possession of extreme pornographic images.
Prosecutor Rhys Evans stated that, on May 23, 2023, Bincliffe was found to have created 660 indecent images of children, categorized as 428 Category C, 62 Category B, and 170 Category A – the most serious kind.
Alongside these images, Bincliffe also possessed 12 extreme pornographic images depicting a person performing an act of intercourse with a dog.
Mr Evans emphasized that due to the severity of these offenses and the likelihood of a lengthy prison term, the case should be sent directly to the crown court.
Bincliffe admitted the offences during police interview and was of previous good character, according to his defense, Oscar Vincent, who requested a pre-sentence report.
Magistrates ordered the report and scheduled sentencing for October 17 at the IW Crown Court, granting Bincliffe unconditional bail.
