DOLLIS HILL COUPLE AND HIGH RANKING MET OFFICER SENTENCED FOR POSSESSING CHILD ABUSE VIDEO
Prosecutors argued there was no possibility that Williams failed to see the 54-second video clip, citing her response to her older sister requesting her to "please call" as evidence that she intended to discuss its content.Williams was among 17 individuals who received the video from her sister, who had obtained it from her partner, Dido Massivi.
She was also charged with a second offence involving the alleged improper or corrupt exercise of police powers for not informing officers about the video, but the jury acquitted her of this charge.
Furthermore, social worker Hodge, aged 56 and living on Deacon Road, was convicted of sharing an indecent image of a child and was sentenced to perform 100 hours of community service.
Her live-in partner, bus driver Massivi, was found guilty on two counts of distributing indecent images of a child and one count of possessing extreme pornographic material depicting a person having sex with a horse.
He received an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, along with a requirement to complete 200 hours of community service.
All convictions were announced yesterday morning by Judge Richard Marks QC.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Matthew Horne commented: "The prosecution described this as a 'sad case' and highlighted the 'serious errors of judgement' made by those involved.
The court was also informed that Superintendent Williams has had a commendable policing career and has been recognized for her professionalism in the past.
