GLENCARSE WOMAN ADMITS TO THREATENING HUSBAND WITH KNIFE OVER COLD MCDONALD'S MEAL
A woman from Glencarse has admitted to threatening her husband with a knife following a domestic argument over a cold McDonald's Happy Meal.Jennifer Grieve, aged 47, attempted to punch and kick her husband Gordon before brandishing the blade at him after he returned with the food from Perth.
During the incident, Mr.
Grieve reported that his wife had asked him to bring the meal back from Perth where they had gone with their daughter.
Upon his return, she expressed her displeasure, slammed her fist on the kitchen table, and complained about the meal being cold.
Mr.
Grieve managed to dodge an attempted punch and was then kicked on the shin.
She tried to kick him again, prompting Mr.
Grieve to hold her foot and force her backwards onto the floor.
An argument ensued, leading to her fleeing the kitchen.
Jennifer Grieve later admitted in court that on April 19 at Javnic, Cottown, Glencarse, she behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and brandished a knife at her husband.
Sheriff Paul Reid deferred her sentence for six months on the condition she maintains good behavior.
