JAVED MONTAKHAB FROM THORNABY SENTENCED FOR REPEATED SEXUAL OFFENCES ON BUSES

Javed Montakhab, a 65-year-old man with a long and troubling history of sexual offences committed on public buses, has been handed additional prison time following recent incidents involving women.

Montakhab's criminal record stretches back over two decades, with his earliest convictions dating back to 1996.

His past offences include multiple instances of sexual misconduct across the cities of Manchester and Teesside, highlighting a pattern of predatory behavior in public transport settings.

In the latest series of offences, Montakhab was observed sitting beside women on buses and engaging in inappropriate touching.

To conceal his actions, he would hide his activities with an empty laptop case, attempting to avoid detection and accountability.

These recent assaults prompted authorities to take further action against him.

As a result of these latest offences, Montakhab was sentenced to an additional six months in prison.

This sentence was served alongside a previous sentence of five and a half years, which he received earlier this year for similar conduct.

Montakhab is already subject to a sexual harm prevention order, which explicitly bans him from using public transport.
