JASON LOVE FROM NEW ADDINGTON ESCAPES PRISON AFTER BEING CAUGHT WITH BABY ABUSE IMAGES IN CROYDON

In January 2018, authorities uncovered disturbing evidence against Jason Love, a resident of New Addington, who was found to possess a significant collection of indecent images involving very young children. The police raid on his residence on Shaxton Crescent revealed that Love had stored over 100 illicit images across 17 different electronic devices, including computers, mobile phones, and external hard drives.

Among these images were 14 classified as the most severe category, depicting explicit acts involving infants as young as four to six months old. The images also included a disturbing video showing a child in a sexual act. The police investigation was initiated after the raid, which was conducted in January of the previous year, leading to the seizure of multiple devices and a detailed analysis of their contents.

During court proceedings, Love, aged 49, confirmed his identity but did not offer any further comments. He had previously pleaded guilty at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on November 17 to three counts of making indecent photographs of a child. The court was informed that Love was the sole carer for his mother, sister, and wife, a factor that the judge considered when determining his sentence.

Judge Nicholas Ainley expressed his concern over the nature of the images, particularly highlighting the distressing content involving a four to six-month-old child. The judge emphasized the unimaginable pain and harm inflicted on such a young victim, noting that only a limited number of images fell into the highest category of severity.

Prosecutor Andrew Ramsubhag detailed the police operation, stating that officers executed a search warrant at Love’s home on January 6 of the previous year. During the search, multiple devices were seized, and subsequent analysis revealed that Love had used these devices to download adult pornography. He admitted to searching for and viewing indecent images of children and teenagers, which he then deleted. The investigation uncovered a disturbing array of images, including one moving image and 13 still images classified as Category A, depicting the most severe abuse, such as a child aged between 12 and 14 being penetrated, as well as a child as young as four to six months being subjected to oral penetration.

The court was told that Love possessed a total of 87 images in the most serious categories, including two moving images, 18 images in Category B, and 68 in Category C. Despite the gravity of the evidence, Love was sentenced to eight months in prison, but this sentence was suspended for two years. Additionally, he was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid community service within a year and was subject to a sexual harm prevention order for ten years, aimed at monitoring and restricting his future conduct.
