DUNDEE MAN FACES ‘LENGTHY’ PRISON TERM FOR TEENAGER ASSAULT AND COCAINE-DEALING
Jason Campbell, aged 56, has been remanded in detention following a jury verdict convicting him of multiple counts of sexual assault against a 16-year-old girl in November 2024.
The court proceedings detailed how Campbell repeatedly touched and rubbed her thighs and engaged in indecent contact.
He also made explicit requests for sexual acts involving himself and another individual.
At the time, the teenager was intoxicated by alcohol and drugs, rendering her unable to consent.
Additionally, Campbell admitted guilt to involvement in the supply of cocaine, a Class A drug, which police confiscated with a street value exceeding £6,000.
The sheriff noted that barring significant mitigation from the social work report, a lengthy prison sentence is certain.
Campbell has been placed on the sex offenders register, remains remanded until his next court hearing in June, and will undergo a pre-sentencing social work assessment while in custody.
