PREDATORY EX-FIREFIGHTER WHO TARGETED WOMEN IN PERTH AND DUNDEE IS JAILED
Victim blaming sex attacker Jamie Scott was convicted of assaulting one woman with intent to rape and sexually assaulting two others in Perth and Dundee.He was handed an extended five-and-a-half year jail sentence.
Scott was high on cocaine when he approached a woman in Dundee on October 24, 2023, attempting to drag her into shadows before assaulting her with intent to rape.
He was found guilty at Perth Sheriff Court.
Scott also sexually assaulted two women in Perth and stalked one of them over 16 weeks, involving repeated unwanted visits to her home and threatening behavior.
During sentencing, Sheriff William Wood described Scott as a predatory sexual offender and imposed a custodial sentence of three and a half years, with monitoring for two years post-release.
Scott will stay on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
