PERTH OFFENDER SENTENCED FOR CAR WINDOW SMASHED AND THREATS
A violent offender named Jamie Miller has been sentenced to 20 months in jail for a series of violent acts involving the destruction of property and threats. The incident occurred on December 3 in Milnathort, where Miller smashed the windscreens of his girlfriend's friend’s car using a metal pole as the women inside cowered in fear.
One woman later told police she feared for her life during the attack, stating she thought she might die.
Miller, aged 31 and incarcerated at Perth, admitted to threatening to slit a woman, Michelle Hall, 35, at the scene, shouting threats and smashing car windows.
He also pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified.
During the court hearing, it was revealed that Miller had a history of destructive and dangerous behavior, including joyriding incidents, high-speed police chases, and causing multiple car accidents over a four-year period starting from when he was 16.
The sheriff described Miller as a 'menace to society', highlighting his previous violent and reckless conduct, including a high-speed crash into a gas sub-station, knocking down police officers, and stealing a car during a family birthday event.
The court emphasized the impact of his violent conduct on the victims and the community, with Millar being sentenced for his latest violent offense and previous disqualifications.
