MILNATHORT MAN FINED FOR ASSAULTING WIFE IN DOMESTIC ROW
Andrew Pryde, a 45-year-old man from North Street, Milnathort, was involved in a domestic assault after a drunken argument with his wife about her cooking.According to the report, after returning from a night out, Pryde took a nap and later demanded food from his wife.
When she told him he would have to wait, he became aggressive, swearing and shouting at her, describing her cooking as "like a boot".
The situation escalated when Pryde, in a fit of anger, slapped his wife on the side of her face, knocking her glasses off.
He was subsequently arrested.
Pryde admitted to behavior that included threatening and abusive conduct, shouting, swearing, and making sexually offensive remarks on October 14 last year, as well as the assault on his wife.
He was fined a total of £350 by the sheriff, and the court noted he was ashamed of his actions and had taken steps to address his alcohol problem.
Pryde's behavior is classified under domestic violence, specifically physical assault within a household context.
