BRIDGNORTH MAN WITH 'SEXUAL INTEREST IN CHILDREN' AVOIDS JAIL FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES
A paedophile named James Peter Bateman, aged 37, of Victoria Road, Bridgnorth, has admitted to downloading and distributing indecent images of children during a court hearing at Shrewsbury Crown Court.The court was informed that Bateman was first arrested in June 2022 after police investigation linked him to extreme images.
During the raid on his home, officers discovered images and videos on his mobile phone, including nine category-A images, 33 category-B images, and 15 category-C images.
Some of these images depicted babies and children in distress or in pain.

Emily Andrew, stated that Bateman initially admitted to four counts of downloading indecent images.
However, during the investigation, he was caught twice more with additional images on his devices and had progressed to distributing images while on bail.
