JAMES JACKSON PALMER CAUGHT IN DARLINGTON AND YORK WITH ILLEGAL IMAGES AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
James Jackson, aged 29, used specialized software on his computer in an attempt to hide his internet activity from law enforcement officers, according to prosecutor Louise Pryke.
However, police cyber experts were able to discover evidence including a photo he took without the child's mother’s awareness, an obscene sexual image, and two other illegal images.
They also found records indicating he had searched for terms like “young girl porn” and similar phrases.
Despite the software’s presence, investigators could not determine the total number of illegal images Jackson had downloaded, but they confirmed it exceeded those recovered.
Jackson, from Horner Street in Clifton, admitted to charges of creating a child sexual abuse image, possessing extreme pornography, and owning indecent images.
He was sentenced to 20 months in prison, entered onto the sex offender register for a decade, and was placed under an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
