RAPIST LOCKED UP FOR ATTACKING WOMAN IN HER DARLINGTON HOME
Benjamin Jarvis, residing in Gladstone View, Halifax, was sentenced to six years in prison along with an additional three years on extended licence after being found guilty of raping a woman, stalking, and harassment.
Prior to the assault, he had made over 120 phone calls to her, sent multiple messages via social media, and repeatedly tracked her location.
Three weeks after the incident, he traveled from Halifax to Darlington by Uber, spending £100 on the ride, and also attempted to force entry into her residence.
The court, presided over by Judge Aisha Wadoodi, also issued a seven-year restraining order against him.
It was revealed that Jarvis had a criminal history comprising 23 previous convictions for 39 offences, including harassment and the sharing of sexual images.
