JAMES HUDSON CAUGHT WITH 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL NEAR RAF LEEMING IN YORK

In a disturbing incident that unfolded near the perimeter of RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire, a teenage girl of just 15 years old was found in a car with three convicted sex offenders, including James Hudson. The police intervention occurred on January 18, when officers stopped the vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa, close to the military base, revealing a troubling situation involving grooming and breaches of legal restrictions.

James Hudson, aged 19, was behind the wheel, with the girl seated in the back. The front seats were occupied by two men in their 20s and 30s, who were identified as fellow residents at Hudson’s hostel in York. All three men were registered sex offenders, having been previously convicted and listed on the sex offenders’ register. The police’s discovery raised immediate concerns about the safety and exploitation of the young girl, who was reportedly in the company of individuals with a known history of sexual offenses.

Hudson’s criminal record is extensive and troubling. He was placed on the sex offenders’ register and prohibited from having any contact with children under the age of 16 following his conviction in January of the previous year. His conviction stemmed from two serious child sex charges, which involved a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl he had befriended when he was 17. The court heard that Hudson had been engaging in sexual activity with her, raising serious concerns about his predatory behavior.

Further complicating his criminal history, Hudson had previously breached a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) by attempting to contact a different girl. This breach led to a period of remand, although the charge was eventually dropped. However, Hudson did not cease his inappropriate conduct. Weeks after the dropped charge, he rekindled his relationship with the girl, maintaining contact for nearly five months before being caught in the car with her in January.

During the court proceedings at Teesside Crown Court, Hudson admitted to breaching the SOPO. As a consequence, he was sentenced to 12 months in a young offenders’ institution by Mr. Justice Davis. The judge highlighted the gravity of Hudson’s past offenses, noting that he had a significant record involving sexual involvement with girls under 16. The court also learned that the girl involved in this latest incident had previously been cautioned four years earlier for a series of sex offenses, which reportedly began when she was only three years old.

Mr. Justice Davis addressed Hudson directly, emphasizing the seriousness of his actions and history. He stated, “You have already got quite a significant record for sexual involvement with girls under the age of 16.” The girl involved in the recent incident claimed she was in love with Hudson, but the judge expressed concern that Hudson was actively encouraging and grooming her, rather than simply being a naive participant.

John Boumphrey, representing Hudson, argued that this case did not involve a middle-aged pedophile targeting a teenager, and he pointed out that there was no evidence of sexual activity between Hudson and the girl during this incident. Nonetheless, Mr. Justice Davis rejected these suggestions, underscoring the dangerous pattern of behavior and the potential for harm involved in Hudson’s actions.
