JAMES HEWSON OF HULL RECEIVES COMMUNITY ORDER AFTER ONLINE GROOMING CASE
A man from Hull, James Hewson, has been sentenced to a community order following his involvement in grooming young girls online and impersonating a 16-year-old girl.Hewson, aged 23, admitted multiple charges, including inciting child sexual activity and possessing indecent images of children.
The court imposed a three-year period of community supervision, which requires him to partake in sex offender programmes and to register as a sex offender for five years.
The judge took into account his young age and lack of prior convictions when reaching the decision, noting these as mitigating factors.
