AARON MORRIS SHOCKS WILLERBY WITH BRUTAL ASSAULT OVER INFIDELITY PICTURES
Aaron Morris, a 33-year-old resident of Acacia Drive in Willerby, found himself at the center of a serious criminal case following a violent incident that left his partner terrified and injured. The court proceedings revealed that Morris was convicted of assaulting his partner after she uncovered a USB stick containing explicit photographs of him engaged in sexual activity with another woman. This discovery appeared to ignite a violent outburst from Morris, who responded with a prolonged physical attack that shocked those who witnessed or heard about the incident.According to court records, Morris’s assault was both aggressive and brutal. He reportedly grabbed his partner by the neck, a move that caused her significant distress and fear. The attack escalated as he threw her around the bedroom, with witnesses describing her being tossed like a “rag doll,” a clear indication of the violence involved. During the assault, Morris tore her clothes and ripped out her hair extensions, further demonstrating the ferocity of his actions. At one point, he strangled her for approximately ten seconds, an act that could have had fatal consequences. Witnesses and neighbors nearby could hear her screams for help, underscoring the severity of the situation.
Initially, Morris denied the charges brought against him. However, on the day of the trial, he chose to plead guilty, acknowledging his involvement in the assault. The victim recounted the incident as extremely frightening, emphasizing the violence and desperation Morris exhibited in his attempt to recover evidence of his infidelity. The court heard that the relationship between Morris and his partner had been tumultuous for some time. It was revealed that Morris had previously taken out a loan in her name without her knowledge, adding to the stress and tension that culminated in the violent episode.
Judge John Thackray KC presided over the case and highlighted the serious impact of Morris’s actions. He acknowledged the fear and trauma inflicted upon the victim, emphasizing the importance of holding offenders accountable for such violent behavior. As a result, Morris was sentenced to 16 months in prison. Additionally, he was issued a five-year restraining order to prevent any further contact with his partner. Court records noted that Morris had no prior convictions, and his behavior during the incident was considered out of character. During sentencing, some remorse was expressed by Morris, though the court maintained that the violence was unacceptable and had lasting consequences for the victim.
