PENSIONER CHARGED WITH DOWNLOADING INDECENT IMAGES
At Ayr Sheriff Court, a pensioner was brought before the magistrates charged with the offence of possessing indecent images.The 74-year-old, identified as James Clark and associated with South Ayrshire, faced a private petition hearing on Wednesday.
He is accused of either taking, allowing others to take, or producing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a minor, according to the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, Section 52A(1).
Clark did not plead during the proceedings.
He was granted bail pending further investigation and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance, which is yet to be scheduled.
