JAMES BOYACK SENTENCED IN DUNDEE AND INVERNESS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A 73-year-old man named James Boyack has been handed a prison sentence of 15 months after authorities uncovered him in possession of indecent images of children, some of which were classified at the most severe level of explicit content. The investigation that led to his conviction revealed a disturbing collection of images and videos depicting minors engaged in sexual acts, as well as material involving bestiality.
Police conducted searches in both Dundee and Stirling, during which Boyack was found to have downloaded and stored these illicit images.
He did not deny the charges; instead, he admitted to the possession and download of indecent images during the police inquiries.
His criminal record is not new to authorities, as he has a history of similar offences related to child sex crimes, which has contributed to the severity of his current sentence.
As part of the legal proceedings, Boyack has been placed on the sex offenders register for a period of ten years, reflecting the serious nature of his crimes and the potential risk posed to the community.
The case underscores ongoing concerns about the proliferation of child exploitation material and the importance of law enforcement efforts to combat such offences across different locations, including Dundee and Inverness.
