JACK FRY FROM HAMPSHIRE SENTENCED FOR CHILD RAPE IN NEW MILTON
A 25-year-old man named Jack Fry, residing on Gore Road in New Milton, Hampshire, has been handed a significant prison sentence of seven and a half years after being convicted of the heinous crimes of raping and sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13.The sentencing took place at Southampton Crown Court on Wednesday, July 17, following Fry’s guilty plea to the charges.
The offenses in question occurred in March 2024, and the court’s decision reflects the severity of his actions.
Fry’s conviction marks a crucial step in delivering justice for the young victim and their family, who have endured the trauma caused by his criminal conduct.
In addition to his prison term, Fry will be subjected to a 12-month period of extended supervision once he is released.
This supervision aims to monitor his behavior and prevent any further harm.
Furthermore, Fry will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, a legal measure designed to restrict his activities and interactions to safeguard the community from potential future offenses.
Detective Constable David Sloan, a member of the Child Abuse Investigation Team, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “I am so pleased for the young victim in this case that justice has now been served for them and their family, and that Fry has now been placed behind bars, where he belongs.” He also commended the bravery of the young victim, highlighting the courage and determination they demonstrated throughout the investigation.
Detective Sloan extended his gratitude to all individuals involved in bringing the case to a successful conclusion.
“Their support and hard work has ensured a conviction within two weeks of the report being made to us, and sentencing within four months,” he said.
He emphasized that while the sentence cannot erase the memories of the crime from the victim and their family, it provides a sense of justice and reassurance that Fry can no longer pose a threat to other children.
The officer also took the opportunity to encourage other victims to come forward and report similar incidents, assuring them that their allegations are taken very seriously.
“We take allegations of this nature extremely seriously and work hard to bring offenders to justice,” he stated.
Sloan further warned potential offenders that law enforcement agencies are committed to tirelessly pursuing justice, and that no one is beyond the reach of the law.
In closing, Detective Sloan thanked everyone who contributed to securing the conviction and sentencing, reaffirming the importance of community cooperation in safeguarding children and ensuring that offenders are held accountable.
