28-YEAR-OLD MAN SENTENCED AFTER ATTACKING WOMAN IN HER HOME LEAVING HER WITH EXTENSIVE INJURIES
A 28-year-old man caused injuries to a woman during an attack at her residence, resulting in cuts, bruises, and swelling on her head, face, and ribs.
Jack David Marsden, residing on Marryat Road in New Milton, appeared before Southampton Crown Court on September 19.
He had previously admitted to assault causing actual bodily harm during a prior hearing.
Marsden, who had been held in custody since his arrest, was sentenced to an 18-month community order along with up to five days of rehabilitation activities.
Additionally, he must complete a 30-day accredited programme.
The assault occurred on June 27 at the victim’s home, leading to serious injuries including cuts, bruises, and swelling on her head, face, and ribs.
The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary stressed that everyone should feel safe and underscored that domestic abuse is unacceptable.
They urged victims to come forward with reports and confirmed that offenders will be identified and dealt with.
