A Dundee man with a history of domestic misconduct, who headbutted his pregnant partner and struck her with a slice of pizza, has been spared jail time.
Jack Botham, aged 36 and a former Royal Marine, caused distress to his partner during her pregnancy and was warned of a potential custodial sentence.
He later assaulted police officers, made violent threats, and has previously been convicted of abusing another partner.
At Dundee Sheriff Court, Botham admitted to abusive behaviour toward his latest partner, which involved threatening her and making persistent contact.
While she was six months pregnant, he shouted, used offensive language, slammed doors, and made threats, culminating in him headbutting her and hitting her with food.
He accused her of infidelity and physically assaulted her on that occasion.
When police arrested him earlier in the year, Botham threatened officers and physically assaulted PC Cameron Scott by kicking him and throwing a liquid.
