MAN JAILED FOR SUSTAINED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OFFENCES
A 19-year-old individual has received a custodial sentence after being convicted of multiple domestic violence offences.Isus Hristov, residing on Salisbury Street in Shotton, was court-ordered at Mold Crown Court on Thursday, 11 September.
He admitted to committing numerous assaults and inflicting actual bodily harm on his female victim.
The offending spanned from October 2024 to June 2025 and resulted in serious physical injuries to the victim.
Hristov was sentenced to a total of two years and eight months in prison and was also subjected to a Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO) that will last for 15 years.
This DAPO bans him from making any form of contact with the victim and from being near her residence.
Commenting on the case, District Inspector Rob Stevenson, along with the former North Wales Police VAWG Tactical Delivery Manager, stated: “This sentence reflects our continued efforts to combat violence against women and girls and raise public trust to encourage victims to speak out against violence.
“We are working hard to ensure robust action will be taken against anyone who commits offences of violence towards women and girls in North Wales.
“Please be assured that any reports made to us are always treated seriously and with priority.”
