BRISTOL BOXER JAILED FOR BRUTAL STREET ATTACK ON WOMAN
The court at Bristol Crown heard a distressing account of an attack carried out by Israel Van-Meir, who arrived on a motor scooter on Swiss Drive, Bristol.
He halted his vehicle prior to striking Danielle Aspell with two forceful blows to her head and face.
The assault resulted in serious injuries, including a fractured jaw in three places, a broken rib, and the loss of four teeth.
Van-Meir, aged 35 and residing in Marshfield, South Gloucestershire, admitted to causing wounding on January 24 and received a prison sentence of two years.
Additionally, he violated a non-molestation order and was subjected to an indefinite restraining order prohibiting him from contacting Miss Aspell.
CCTV footage of the assault was presented to the court, and Van-Meir was noted to have boxing experience.
According to Miss Aspell, Van-Meir had threatened her if he did not get his way.
She now endures ongoing pain, nerve damage, disfigurement, and emotional scars, describing herself as feeling uglier and less cheerful than before.
During police questioning, Van-Meir chose not to comment.
