BRADFORD RAPIST JAILED FOR PREDATORY ASSAULT IN PARK
A highly dangerous and predatory rapist, Ifzal Hussain, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after attacking a vulnerable woman in a Bradford park.
The incident involved Hussain raping the woman at night against children's play equipment after following her into the park.
The court heard that Hussain, 35 years old and previously without any convictions, first met the woman in May of the previous year when he sexually assaulted her in a taxi.
Five months later, while the woman was waiting alone at a bus stop at night, Hussain approached her in a friend's car and again assaulted her.
The judge, Christopher Smith, described Hussain as posing a significant risk to the public and called his actions predatory.
Hussain was found guilty of rape and sexual assault charges by a jury, with the court noting the severe psychological harm inflicted on the victim.
The judge emphasized that Hussain specifically targeted a vulnerable individual and that his crime would undermine community safety and trust.
Hussain will also be required to serve an extended license period of six years and must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, reflecting the gravity of his offenses.
