MAN JAILED FOR RAPE AND ASSAULT
A man has received a prison sentence for the assault and rape of a woman.Ickerson Dias Barreto, aged 39 and residing on Larch Road in NW2, was given an 11-year term behind bars following his conviction for rape, assault, and battery at Harrow Crown Court on December 15.
During the trial, it was revealed that Barreto assaulted a woman he knew on two separate occasions: the first at an address in Streatham in February 2021, and the second at his own residence in June 2022.
The court further heard that during the second incident, Barreto also assaulted the woman in the presence of her daughter.
Following this assault, the victim reported the crime to police, leading to Barreto’s subsequent arrest.
