JEFFREY OPOKU SEX OFFENDER FROM HEATHROW AND CRICKLEWOOD JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ASSAULT

In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Jeffrey Opoku, a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) stationed at Heathrow, has been sentenced to three years in prison for sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl. The heinous incident took place in a flat located in Cricklewood, where the young girl was vulnerable and unaware of the danger as her family slept nearby.

According to court proceedings at Wood Green Crown Court, the 46-year-old offender was not a stranger to the victim’s family. In fact, he was well known to them, which made his betrayal of trust even more egregious. The family frequently stayed in the Cricklewood flat, and during three separate occasions, Opoku-Bempah committed his disturbing acts.

On two of these occasions, he entered the girl’s sleeping area without permission, sneaking into her room while she was asleep. Once inside, he forcibly carried her into his own room, where he then carried out his sexual assault. These repeated breaches of trust and the vulnerability of the young victim have caused widespread outrage and concern within the community.

Jeffrey Opoku was arrested on May 16 of this year following an investigation into the allegations. He was formally charged with three counts of sexual assault of a female under the age of 13. The court heard that he exploited his position and familiarity with the family to carry out these reprehensible acts.

Following his arrest, Opoku was suspended from his duties as a PCSO just nine days later. The police have indicated that he now faces disciplinary proceedings, which could result in his dismissal for gross misconduct. A disciplinary hearing is scheduled to take place at a later date, where further action against him will be determined.
