PADLOCKED RAPIST IAN OCHIENG'S ATTACK ON PRISON OFFICERS AFTER PRISON SENTENCE
Vicious rapist Ian Ochieng was serving a 12-year jail sentence at Long Lartin prison, in Evesham, when he launched an attack on two prison officers.Worcester Crown Court was told that Lewis Heal and Michael O'Hare had been on duty at the Category A prison when Ochieng walked towards them with a bucket from his cell containing urine and faeces.
Without warning, Ochieng then poured the contents of the bucket over the two men who got faeces and urine in their mouths.
Prosecutor John Brotherton told the court: "He approached two prison officers, Mr O'Hare and Mr Heal.
It was captured on CCTV.
They showered straight away.
They explained that urine and faeces had entered their mouths.
They were taken to hospital and given injections as a precaution against disease." He pleaded guilty to two charges of administering poison/noxious thing with intent to injure/aggrieve/annoy.
Sentenced to two years in jail to run consecutively to his current sentence.
Ochieng was convicted of raping one woman and sexually assaulting another following a trial at Bristol Crown Court in 2020.
At the time, Avon and Somerset Police had described him as "every woman's worst nightmare" following the vicious attacks.
Ochieng, of Saltmarsh Drive, Bristol, attacked his victims in Bristol city centre in 2019.
Bristol Crown Court sentenced him to a 16-year extended sentence, with 12 years in custody for the rape and four and half years on licence for the sexual assault, to run concurrently.
