IAN JAMESON FROM GRANGETOWN SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS FOR DECADES OF SEXUAL ABUSE

Ian Jameson, a 49-year-old man from the area of Grangetown, has been handed down a prison sentence of five years following his conviction for multiple sexual offenses committed against a young woman. The crimes span over a period of more than ten years, during which Jameson engaged in grooming and abusing his victim, causing profound and lasting trauma.

Jameson’s conviction was significantly influenced by a powerful impact statement delivered by the victim, which underscored the severity and emotional toll of his actions. The court heard how the abuse had a devastating effect on her life, highlighting the long-term consequences of his misconduct.
