SHEFFIELD MAN JAILED FOR INDECENT EXPOSURE IN PARK
A Sheffield man has been sentenced after he was seen exposing himself and performing an indecent act in front of a woman in Endcliffe Park.
South Yorkshire Police investigated a series of indecent exposures in the area during the past few months.
After identifying a pattern, officers conducted house-to-house enquiries, issued e-fit appeals, and installed covert CCTV in the area.
In August 2025, police received another report; officers found the suspect fleeing in a vehicle, which was partially identified by the victim.
They arrested Ian Develin, of Rowan Road, Eckington, Sheffield.
The 64-year-old answered no questions in an interview, but victims identified him, leading to multiple charges.
Develin pleaded guilty to six counts of indecent exposure, outraging public decency, and using threatening or abusive words to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.
On December 23 at Sheffield Crown Court, he was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison.
